Crystal Palace outclasses Red Devils at Old Trafford

A trip to Manchester was all it took for Crystal Palace to get a well deserved victory over Manchester United in one of the 3pm kick off games in the English Premier League, just a day to the new month.

Roy Hugson’s side came into the game off the back of a loss to Manchester United on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup as they hoped to avenge the defeat.

The game was evenly poised from both sides early in the first half as neither team could place a foot hold on the game.

However, a 25th minute strike from Joachim Anderson after a well taken free kick by Eberechi Eze, was all it took to separate the two sides.

United were lackadaisical and unimpressive during the game, especially in the final 3rd.

Crystal Palace took their revenge on Manchester United after the latter hoisted them out of the EFL Cup in the third round just four days ago at Old Trafford.

This defeat made it four losses out of seven for Erik Ten Haag’s side and it might be spelling doom for the Dutch gaffer.

Crystal Palace, however, stood their ground as their defense stood strong and were able to hold on for the win and snatch the three points at Old Trafford.
