1998 — FIFA World Cup Final, Stade de France, Saint-Denis: Zinedine Zidane scores twice as France wins first World Cup beating Brazil, 3-0.

2015: Novak Djokovic gets the better of Roger Federer at Wimbledon.

2015 — Wimbledon Men’s Tennis: Novak Djokovic successfully defends his title for 3rd Wimbledon crown; beats Roger Federer 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3.

2017: Sam Querrey stuns top-seeded Andy Murray at Wimbledon.

2017 — Sam Querrey stuns top-seeded Andy Murray in five sets in the Wimbledon quarterfinals. Querrey, an American seeded 24th, is dominating down the stretch for a 3-6, 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-1, 6-1 victory.

Querrey became the first USA man to reach the semifinals at any Grand Slam tournament since Andy Roddick lost in the 2009 Wimbledon final.

Another quarterfinal surprise arrived later when Novak Djokovic stopped playing because of a right elbow injury while trailing 2010 runner-up Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic 7-6 (2), 2-0. Roger Federer gets a 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 (4) victory over Milos Raonic.

The 35-year-old Federer, who has won seven of his record 18 Grand Slam championships at the All England Club, is the grass-court tournament’s oldest semifinalist since Ken Rosewall in 1974 at age 39.
